14th Barn Quilt Hung
The Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail is growing. Just this week, Ed Pawlikowski hung a barn quilt on his garage at 202 4th St. S.E., Lakota, ND (behind the Dairy Queen).
The quilt block pattern is called "Diana's Cross". It is in memory of Ed's wife Diana who died of stomach cancer at age 54. Blue paint was used as it was Diana's favorite color.
This is Ed's second barn quilt. He painted the "Centennial Star" that hangs on a quonset at Whitman, ND.
"Diana's Cross" will soon be added to our quilt map. Please pick up a free map of the Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail at any Michigan business. They are also available at Nettiques in Petersburg and Elaine's House of Dreams in Lakota.
