Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail Update - 16 Barn Quilts

The Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail has recently grown from 14 to 16 barn quilts.  The new quilt owners are sisters, Doris Karas of Lakota and Donna Mayer of Michigan.  Their quilts were done by Ed Pawlikowski of Lakota who is their brother-in-law.

Doris' quilt is called "Amish Star".  It can be seen hanging on her home at 518 E Ave. W., Lakota.

Donna's quilt is called "Mom's Quilt".  Her quilt is done in patriotic colors and is in memory of her mom, Blanche Mayer. Her quilt hangs on her home at 310 Jeanette Ave. So., Michigan.  (Jeanette Ave. is also Hwy. 35.)

We'd like to thank this family for their contribution of quilts to our trail.

The Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail can be enjoyed anytime.  Pick up a free map at Michigan businesses and Nettiques in Petersburg and Elaine's House of Dreams in Lakota.

Please note the above 2 quilts and Ed Palikowski's quilt at 202 4th St. SE (behind the Dairy Queen), Lakota, will be added to the map when it gets updated after the first of the year.
