Detroit Flier Is Killed in Train Wreck (1945)

Cpl. Paul F. Nance, USAAF, died of injuries in Thursday's wreck of the Great Northern Railroads Empire Builder train at Michigan, ND.

Son of Mr an Mrs. Paul V. Nance of 3635 Brooklyn, he was born in Indianapolis and was brought to Detroit as a baby by his parents.

Nance had served in New Guinea and Borneo.  Two weeks ago he graduated from the Diesel School at Aberdeen, Maryland, and had visited his parents last Monday, while en route West. 

He joined the service in March 1943.

Surviving are his parents, five sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Fulton, Mrs. Betty Miller, Linda, Judith Ann and Susan Carol, and one brother, Medford.
