Rose Ellen Wilson was born on November 14, 1920. The only child of Chester and Gladys Wilson. She graduated from college in 1942. Gladys died in 1944. At her funeral Rose Ellen was so taken by the minister she told him she hoped he would officiate at her funeral, he scoffed at the very idea, but a year later he did. When Cousin Jim started college in the mid 1950's Chester gave him Rose Ellen's college text books and slide rule which he used throughout his professional career. Chester grieved over his daughter's loss for his remaining years.
